Welcome to this first episode of Making an Album, a subseries here on my Substack where I document the journey of finishing up my album.

In this first episode I catch you up on what this series is and where I’m at in this process of making this album. I introduce you to one of the new songs I’m working on called All You Ever Wanted, play snippets of it, show you the breakdown of the different elements, and walk through what I’m doing to prepare to record the drum parts (yes, drums!) for this song later this week.

As with all the episodes in this series, some will be more technical, some more philosophical, some more personal, some…who knows?! Feel free to tune in to the parts you’re interested in and skip over the other parts. I’ll try to give good descriptions of what each episode is about before you devote the time to watching the videos.
