My name is Zach Sprowls. I’m a full time pianist and composer based out of Scranton, Pennsylvania (fancy artist bio here). I write music for theater, film, church, streaming, and performance. I enjoy reading, journaling, backpacking, drinking coffee, smoking pipes, and thinking deeply.

For a long time, I’ve been looking for an online home for my stuff, one that’s free of all the noise and doesn’t force me to put on a dog-and-pony show just to be seen by (maybe) 5 people. I certainly don’t fancy myself to be a writer, but I do have some things to say and Substack seems to be a genuinely creator-first company with some pretty cool features that suit my style perfectly. So I’m gonna give this thing a spin!

I plan to make this Substack my home for everything - my music, musings, updates, recommendations, giveaways, etc. It’ll be my online home, the place I spend the most time and give the most effort to.
